Does anyone have a idea if a 2.8idtd engine will fit into a ducato fitted with a 1.9td engine ? Need some advice please

Your Ducato would need to be a similar age with no ECU management systems other wise you would have additional pretty comprehensive changes to make
If you can get a complete front mechanical line up out of a an idtd it should be possible but the best thing you could do is get it all.
Engine, box complete with all mountings including the bits bolted to the body, half shafts and hubs. You'll not be back on here asking what bit fits what
There will be a few wiring and plumbing changes
You'll need a kit out of a 15" wheel model also otherwise you'll end up with 16" front and 15" rear wheels.
You will also need to be very mechanically minded

Thanks for the replay Colstown,
I thought about the ECU element, I think i'll need a doner van up to a T reg as I am aware that they don't have the ECU Fitted.

HAS ANYBODY GOT A FIAT DUCATO 2.8 IDTD UP TO 1999 MODEL YEAR THEY WANT TO SELL.

Remember wheel size. The wheel stud pcd is not the same across the sizes
You could in theory use either
The maxi gearbox is a better bet (16"wheels) but I dont remember enough about the splines at the drive flanges (wheel end)
The idtd with maxi box runs on proper ep oil and has proper drain and fill level holes plus is generally a heavier effort of a box.
I'd think that you'd need the whole unit including the half shafts and hubs.
You havent said what year your 1.9 is.
Although later ones are all ECU controlled including speedo early ones had a speedo cable.
Check of your has a cable. It might ease your search a little
