Emissions solutions

O.K. test only 5 days away and the paranoid thoughts have started to creep in. Am i right in thinking that all the work (cat, front pipe, inlet mani gasket, lambda sensor, new ecu)would reduce the emissions and drastically so. Please all opinions are welcome.

AAAAAARRRRGGGHH!!!!! It failed the test on emissions only.
Garage are currently investigating. Ideas any1?

hmmm tom is ur man to talk to but i thought that if a new cat, then the only problem left is the pistons / injector not running efficatly (spellin).

Really am thinking that since the cat was the first thing to be done that the other problems i have had may have damaged the new one.

Dont know if this will help at all, but I failed the emissions test on my last MOT, but the guy tested first thing, and like an idiot, I hadnt taken it for a hot blast to warm things up, anyway, after an argument, he left it running, while he did all the other test bits, then re tested it at the end and it passed. Just wondering if your guy tested your pipes from cold?

lambda 0.89.Also i need a new instrument panel as the reason the warning lights don't work is that someone has cut the circuits.

Guy at garage has a sneaking suspicion that the place that supposedly replaced the ecu disconnected some thing ??? that recognises lambda as before it would run smoothly with lambda disconnected by not with it connected.

Yeah, its running a bit rich! The cat is working otherwise the HC ppm would be sky high.

is £30 good price for instrument panel from scrapper.

T'will be the ECU not responding to the lambda correctly.
