Hello All,
My quest is to remove the annoying service indicator warning dialog at startup, now that I have changed the oil, filter and air filter. I've got a USB OBD2 interface, also the FIAT ECU scan software on my netbook and I have has some success! I can connect to the engine module, clear the oil change and also clear the error log however I cannot connect to the service or dashboard module with my hardware and software combination?
These are the messages:
Scanning for Interface found at port COM2, speed 38400bps. This interface is compatible with ELM 327 1.4! Should connect properly with all CAN modules
GOOD:
Connects to Engine: Marelli 6F3 EOBD Diesel Injection (1.3)
BAD:
Dashboard & Service Systems
ELM327 > ECU Connection failed, check your cable and serial port settings
perhaps I need to adapt my USB settings? Perhaps there is another connector altogether for the service light?
Any feedback is welcomed.
