Electrical Problem with Dash

I have a recurring problem with my dash electrics that percussive mantainence does not solve.

The speedo just dies and the lcd odometer and trip meter either go completely or fade. The temp and fuel gauges continue to work properly and the rev counter appears unaffected. After a while the non-functioning bits comes back.

Any ideas?

Time to take it apart and reseat the multiplug on the back.

Maybe you've got gremlins living behind the dash!!
My fuel gauge died today for a couple of minutes, then came back to life. no percussive maintainence required!!
Have to stop feeding it after midnight.
