Hi all - new to this forum and hoping for some help

I owned a couple of 20vts back in the day, when they first appeared in the UK. Haven't had a car for a while, but nostalgia prompted me to pick up a 1998 model recently for fun weekend driving. It's mechanically pretty sound but has a catalogue of electrical issues, including:
  • Driver side indicator works very sporadically – most of the time it doesn’t (passenger side is fine)
  • Switchgear in centre console is loose/sunken so needs securing and repairing – hazards and rear demister controls do not work
  • Electric wing mirror switch and controls do not work
  • Central locking very hit and miss
  • Horn doesn't work
I'm struggling to find a specialist in the northwest (Manchester area) to help out, so any recommendations very gratefully received, but I did take it to a local electrical repair shop who essentially said I just need to source replacements for each of the parts above and they will fit them. Does this sound like the best approach or are they fobbing me off? And if the former is there anywhere better than ebay to try and source those parts?

A few other minor niggles (non electrical):
  • Cam belt makes a lot of noise at idle
  • Driver door key barrel was loose (ie the barrel of the lock would simply pop out). I’ve applied some glue to keep it in place but it needs removing and properly fitting
  • Passenger side door latch is flaky, as is the boot latch – often stuck in open position
  • Boot can only be opened from inside, cannot be opened using the key in the boot lid
Thank you in advance for any assistance/advice you can offer!!
