I have a Grande Punto, front passenger electric window not working. Fiat main dealers say it's the regulator, £158. Got a second hand one for £30, got a local garage to fit it, they say the original regulator is ok, it's the switch, replaced switch, still not working. this is doing my head in! any ideas guys?

Electricity is simple stuff really, but electronics (black magic) are a bit more difficult. Start with a simple, logical process.

Is there a 12v supply to the switch?
Does the switch work if pressed, passing the electricity to either of the outputs?
At the regulator, does the electricity arrive, the is the earth return ok?
At the door pillar is a multi-cable, hopefully with a connector. Is there current there and does the connector pass it on.

Somewhere there are likely to be relays too. Follow the supply to find the break. Check fuses too.

My passenger front won't work now , worked then stopped then worked then stopped again and now won't go down , I can hear a click in the door when the switch is pressed , dont think it's the motor or regulator because it worked then stopped and works again , did a search and the wire that goes from the body to the door can get a break in them
