Technical Electric window will only go down - not up

Hi

I have a big issue with my passenger side front Electric window. It will only go down and not up again.
So now it is stock almost completely open (in the middle of the winther!).

I guess it is not a fuse, as it is able to operate in one direction.

Any good ideas how to get the window up again?

I have had problems with electric windows for a long time. Normally the windows refuses to operate, but after a minute wait they will work.
But at the same time as the passenger side window stopped going up, the drivers side won't operate at all. I only hear a clicking sound when trying to operate it.

I had the same issue with the passenger side window going down but not up, then it stopped working at all and it was some broken wires on the driver side door. I would first check the driver side door loom going from the body into the door, just pull back the rubber cover and check for any broken wires.


I aren't amazing at fixing cars just passing on what I know hope it helps

I have looked at the wirering. It all looks fine. But then I found this guide about "Drivers side Window switch removal and clean".

After cleaning the switches on the circutboard in both doors (they were badly corroded) with a cotton stick, then it worked again.
