Our 1.2 500 has what I think is an electric sunroof. I's glass, with a sliding sunshade and two buttons close by that look like open and close. Needless to say, it neither opens or closes! Fuses are all OK as far as I can see. Any tips on where to start looking?

Hello,

I wanted to add a warning not to touch it in such weather, but then checked where Le Mung is. It's in Aquitaine 😎

However this might not be an easy fix, so even in there I will wait for warmer nights and dry weather.

I will try to upload some eLearn documentation later on. What year is your 500?

See my reply to my post on electric mirrors. Fuse 51 had blown, and was 5A and should be 7.5A.

After replacing fuse 51, the sunroof works - but very slowly. I don't think it's been used for years. It needs a bit of help to move, otherwise it must think that there is an obstruction and will either stop or move bac into it's original position. I have cleaned and lubricated the guides with PTFE spray the best I can, but it's still very slow. I suspect the motor needs lubing too. That looks like a headlining out job!

Fuse 51 is being blown by the wing mirrors. I'm sure of that. It also feeds the sunroof motor module, but only to enable the sunroof to move when the ignition is on. The sunroof motor feed is from fuse 82, which is a 30A fuse. That fuse is OK.
