Where should you locate the blanking plate so you don't get the error message?

I've put it in the pipework between the egre valve and the pipe to the throttle body, but if i put it between the pipe from exhaust to the egr would that not give me the error message?

cheers

Both our Stilo's passed the MOT with blanking plates installed.

The EGR reduces NOX gases but increases particulates, this is bad for and MOT but good for the environment.

I find performance is better.

The 16v JTD has Lambda(O2) sensors, it uses these to detect an EGR fault(flow), blanking off the EGR on a 16v usually throws up an error, engine management light on etc.. Best option for the 16v is to fit Fiats Restictor plate.

The 8v JTD has no Lambda(O2) sensors and no other means to detect EGR faults(flow). Although some have reported errors I suspect they are not related so blanking off the EGR can be done without fear of errors.
