Technical eek no brakes 4x4

i used him today first time in years, got him to pull this punto out of back garden in to front garden, he did it no sweat, but his brake pedal goes straight to the floor and don't make brakes come on, not looked at any thing yet so no idea why yet

Seriously though, sounds like master cylinder seals or long term leak so little or no fluid from rusted brake line or something.

Water in the brake fluid making it boil? probs not used enough for this to happen though? or the obvious, a leak! Any fluid you could see from where he been stood?

that punto scrapped over where it had been and destroyed any leak evidence, i didnt know they had gone till i stopped dragging an started to roll backwards

had a quick look today, pot was empty i filled it with fluid and gave pedal some pumping hoping it would all squirt out of where it was leaking. but none came out fluid didn't go down, and pedal still floppy

Same thing happened to me with our 1991 4x4. Managed to bleed the brakes though and all worked OK, but the fluid kept disappearing with no obvious signs of a leak. In the end I found it was leaking from the master cylinder/servo. Fitted one from a later Fizz and all works fine but I think the master cylinders are available generally e.g. from shop4parts. If the pot was empty and you filled it up without bleeding through, you will have air in the brake lines. Air compresses, so when you are putting your foot on the brake, you are likely just squeezing the air. Try bleeding the lines through and see what you get.

bleed just 1 brake today to see if anything happened, i got brakes going to bleed it all up an see what happens.
does a uno master fit a panda?
also today i got all the green off and started to g10 it, half of the car is now nice n white. i should have took some before pics :bang:

met up with damon for a while yesterday he say uno one not the same, and that i should get a new one any way as they are better as early ones had a fault.
He told me there some cheap enough on ebay. now i confused because the ones on ebay say for a panda or a uno

new master is on, ebay ad said it was for lhd but the boss said it will fit and after re routing a couply of pipes it did
