engine control warning light on dash panel came on and speedo lost at same time. first thought check owner handbook, no help, second, no speedo means no power so fuse gone. check book 4 fuses for ecu all under bonnet. checked fuses, f11 blown. problem must be around engine, nearest item was gadget in 25mm pipe from top of engine down to sump. removed its plug, used meter found it was on f11, put new fuse in, speedo back everthing runs perfectly. asked local fiat agent they do not know what it is or what it is for, typical, i reckon it is a heater to keep oily air in the engine breathing system from waxing up. the socket on it was full of oil. cable colours violet/black and blue/black. my vehicle is a ducato motor home, engine is 2ijtd diesel. hope this helps.
