Technical ECU problems - 3 beeps and a botched job by me.

Hi all, new member and first post but I've been having problems for some time. The computer on my dash board beeped 3 times and things weren't behaving great with things gettings worse as time went by. The car has been running great but I couldn't access the computer ever since I purchased it but it's been progressively getting worse. First the boot wouldn't open and just today the radio/ CD player went on and wouldn't shut down.

I Googled my problem and seen a Youtube guide on fixing. I'm not allowed to post URLs as I'm a new member but if you search "fiat stilo computer easy fix" it will bring up a Youtube video of the steps he took to fix.

I done as he says but have made things worse and the car won't start at all (although the boot now opens lol)

I've made a botched job and have messed up some of the wires. I've a couple of questions:

Can I get a used ECU from a scrapyard and install it into my car?

If that's not possible is there a wiring diagram for the ECU or where could I bring my own to get fixed?
