ECU missing red key

I have read all the posts on this question but i am still left with one question bascily the ECU is a computer runing software so surly there must be some one out there who can reprogram both the main ECU and the injectors ECU and reprogram a replacment red key with out costing to much or replcing the ECUs. dan the man

Unfortunately the ECUs are a one-shot deal, one they have been programmed, thats it!

Actually, I have been told today that there is an alternative that costs only around 125€. Propably not offical fiatbusiness though... I don't know exactly what is done and I live in Belgium too.
My car will be here tomorrow, maybe he'll tell me more.

Do you have a key for the ECU. If so I can program without a master key.

KEYS

The only thing you can get done is to blank the ECU down or if you have a key program of that one. The way they are designed there not made to do diaognostic work through this immobiliser unit like other cars hence why a master key is given. mail me if interested. [email protected]

What do you mean, a key for the ECU? As far as I know the only key that allows access to the ECU is the red key, and this only unlocks the key learning routine, so new keys can be logged into the system.

Please can you explain with smaller words so idiots like me can undertand! I would be very interested to know that I can get away without a red key, or that you could generate a new one, but my understanding is that is impossible without hacking the software and/or replacing the memory!
