Hi All,
Recently (3-4 months ago) had an issue with ECU for a Stilo 1.6 Dynamic.
I had the ECU changed with a recondidtioned unit and it worked fine to a greater degree; the only issue being that on occasion I get a 'Car Security' message when I attempt starting the car. If it is left for a few days the message goes and the car starts without a problem.
I seem to remember when the ECU was getting fitted, the garage in question asked for the 'key codes' which I could not locate. The garage said they could 'get around the problem' which they appeared to do so - but I'm not sure if the 'fix' is causing the problem.
On one occasion I had the AA out who said they had to 'clear/discharge the key codes from memory' - when he did it worked fine.
Has anyone came across this issue or can advise on some possible solutions?
