Hi,

Just stumbled across your site looking for info on a problem that started last week.
I know that one of you will have the answer I'm looking for.

I hit a deep pit in the road - jarred something (enough to stall) and since have
had the engine CTRL message & warning flash up.
Pla still starts / drives and pulls well - but, if I throttle back, I get a stutter &
lag (and the warning message again)
Had the car put on the diagnostic yesterday, which showed no problems, but
I still have the stutter / lag, and as I do a round trip of c.90 miles a day, would
like to sort it before it gets more serious.

Anyone had any loose connection issues? trouble locating their ECU? I took on
my Pla with no history, or handbook.

Any info will be a help

Thanks

One thing I'd suggest you do is to take a few pics of the Pothole, report it to the Council's Highways Department, and tell them what it's done.
Ask them to e-mail/write to you confirming your report, that way they can't deny it later.
It may take months to get anything out of them (8 months and counting for me!), but it's worth pursuing.
I was told by them that they put aside millions each year for damage claims, but hardly anyone bothers.
I was also told that it's cheaper for them to pay out on the few claims that are made, than it is for them to fix the roads properly

I'd also ask the Garage you use(d) to thoroughly check everything over for damage (Tyres, Wheels, Suspension, Exhaust, etc), and keep receipts for anything you pay out in relation to this.

As for the actual problem, I can only guess the jolt has caused an Electrical Connector or Component to come loose, or maybe a Sensor to fail, although I'd expect that to show up with a Diagnostic check.

Finally, welcome to the (slightly) mad world of Multipla ownership (y)
