Technical ECU help

Rite basically ive got the whole metal box out containing the ECU how do i get into the box where the motherboard and ecu r so i can put my new 1 in? There seems 2 b some sort of grey salent around the bottom of the contaner and i just can't make it move [}]

cut it off carefully with a stanley or craft knife...

and make sure you have some silicon to seal it up afterwards, ya dont want it getting damp
