Hi,
My 2004 Punto Active Sport 1.2 8V is currently in the garage having its power steering checked.
I bought it about 2 months ago from a franchised renault dealer and about a fortnight afterwards the power steering began to fail. Obviously I contacted the dealer and they are looking in to the problem.
The issue I have is that it may not be covered under my limited warranty but I have a feeling that this problem existed when they sold me the car in which case they should pay for it regardless of the warranty.
When reading the ECU error codes do they have dates and times when they happened at all?
This would help my case if I could prove the problem existed prior to sale.
Thanks
