Has anyone fitted an Ecotek to a Brava/Bravo 80, i.e. with the 1,242 ccm FIRE engine? I have an Ecotek off my old car which I would like to fit to my Brava, and what concerns me is that the servo pipe is (a) not terribly accessible (b) rigid. Part of the engine management system is in the way of where the servo pipe comes up to the manifold, and I wonder whether it is safe to disconnect and unscrew this lump with BOSCH written on it to gain access, having read dire warnings about disconnecting things and losing stored settings. (You must forgive the fact that my old car was based around mid 1970s technology, with which I had no problems; the Fiat is 20 years down the line from what I am familiar with!) Is the pipe easy to cut, or would I be better simply adding a short section, and is the internal diameter a good match for the unions on the Ecotek? With my thanks in advance ...
