I fitted an Ecotek fuel saving device to my 1.6SX (R reg) Bravo about 6 months or so ago now. I posted my initial findings on this web site, and here is a follow up.
The car still feels lively on the throttle, but I think the fuel consumption savings have dropped slightly.
My commute to work has radically changed since I took the first fuel measurements. Its increased to 200 miles round trip ! Anyway this apart from knackering me out, gives a good basis for consistant driving figures as its mostly motorway travelling around 70 mph or a touch more around there. There is just myself in the car.
I'm still getting approx 200 miles before hitting the half way mark on the fuel guage. This varies by +-10 miles or so depending on going slightly slower or faster. Motorway traffic jams can take another 5 or so miles off this figure.
I think I may have been getting a better fuel saving in the begining, but I expect the injection system has compensated for the slightly lean mixture, and corrected it.
The car is still as lively on the throttle which is very good.
I noticed during winter that the car could judder on setting off. The cold start and "choke" setting of the injection system holds the engine just above 1000 revs, so the Ecotek device was oppening slightly at this speed, which upset the motor slightly. This itself is not a major problem, just a slight niggle that happen twice but went away quickly during warm up. Maybe I have my Ecotek set up on the edge, I could back it off slightly.
On the whole I'm happy with the device, mainly because of the extra throttle response means I have to change gear less often, and the car feels more lively.
Anyone else do a similar journey to compare fuel consumption without the device ? I do approx 85 miles motorway, 10 miles single carriageway roads, 5 miles town traffic. Would be good to know what other people are seeing fuel wise.

P.S Glad those stupid pop offs are now gone, I just stopped visiting the site during that period !
