Technical Ducato Motorhome water pump

Hi

I have a Ducato motorhome and the fresh water internal pump keeps pulsing when the electrics are on, the water runs fine through the taps ok most of the time but there is an occasional blast of water?

Any help would be greatfully received!

This has (should have) nothing to do with the Ducato as such. The water pump should be being powered by a "house" battery. Best to check on another, motorhome related, forum with the kind of motorhome you have. What brand and age is the motorhome?

However, the pulsing you have is a common problem. And is likely due to a small leak somewhere, likely to be in the non-return valve in the pump itself. Maybe disassemble the pump and give it a clean? Some pumps have service kits that allow a replacement of the valves.
The blast of water is likely because the water tank has run dry, you may or not have put more water in it and the line now has air as well as water in it. The pump expels the air in a blast.
