Heyyyy :) ,

I'm new to forums, so here goes........

Does anyone please have any advice on the best place where I can buy a replacement exhaust (in particular the rear silencer section, & the tailpipe which attaches to the rear of the silencer), either in the UK or in Portugal, Spain, France or Belgium, for a left-hand drive 2001 Fiat Ducato 2.8 TDI on an Alco Maxi chassis? I'm able to fit it myself.

I've tried Hymer UK, as the vehicle is a motorhome, but they seem to be talking silly money  !

Any advice would be muchos appreciated (y) .

Cheers.

I get the complete exhaust delivered to my door from ebay for less than the back box locally. Lots of places in the UK selling them. For people in Ireland its often cheaper to get from Germany.

You would be as well to get a stainless steel exhaust made up. It might be even cheaper than the LHD exhaust. A cheaper option (if you don't mind a short delay) is to order one from a European supplier. They are as rare as hens teeth in the UK.

My Burstner is RHD but with the LHD exhaust fitted (so it exhausts on the opposite side to the hab door and awning). This means it exhausts towards the pavement in the UK. Instead of paying circa £300, I paid £60 labour for the exhaust hangers to be modified to suit a RHD exhaust (cost £85).

Sorted.
