Hi fiat ducato 2003 jtd the van starts easy and ticks over smoothly but try to drive away slowly engine hunts badly but put you foot down it puls away great seems to be only when it’s cold after it’s warmed up starts ou and drives fine ? Any ideas please

2003 jtd could refer to 2.0jtd, 2.3jtd, or a 2.8jtd engine. Which do you have?

Air in fuel depending on which version of engine and fuel filter set up. Less likely with electric pump in fuel tank, more likely with hand primer. If this type try manually priming a few pumps until primer goes hard and then see if it starts and runs properly.
I had this on a 2010 Fiat Scudo 2 litre that uses the Peugeot engine. Yours may have the Fiat version.

Sorry I should have read the title, as well as the text. So presumably an x244 model, but with the 2.0litre engine. Can you confirm that no fault codes are present.

@a kuenne Easiest possibility to check is the air filter. Mice can wreak havoc in there.

Another possibility is the accelerator potentiometer. You could have a faulty potentiometer track corresponding to low pedal pressure

Hi there are no fault codes showing air filter is as new the potentiometer was tested went from 0 to full throttle with no faults as I said before it’s only on cold start rest of the day runs great

Just to clarify do you have the engine Series Number from the Chassis/Vin plate, it probably is the Fiat version, but just in case it has the same engine as I had in a 2 litre Fiat Scudo although given the age yours may be the 8 valve version.
A photo of the engine will help.
