Hi,
Just bought a motorhome and the injector light is on.
Its a 2002 with a 2.8jtd engine...seems to run fine and im really not sure if the light was on when i test drove it.

Anyways..i read somewhere that it may stay on if started in cold conditions and some fuse may have blown??
And also that it may be on because the fuel filter was changed but the correct procedure not followed to prime the filter?

In any case if its on and running fine should i be worried??
Cheers,
Marty

Anyone any ideas???
Drove it a good bit the weekend...seems to be driving fine..pulls along grand but the light is still on.
My gut feeling is the filter was changed without priming properly(i read somewhere..probably here!! that the key should be turned back and forth about ten times without engaging the starter to prime the pump before actually starting after a fuel filter replacement) hence the light??

The guy i bought it off said he had just had the engine serviced/oil and filters...and ive no reason not to believe him.

Question:
WOuld any mechanic with a clever box be able to reset the fault??
Or do i have to go to an injector specialist?
Cheers,
Marty.

you have spent alot obviously on the vehicle & sumer is nearly here & you will be wanting to use it so my opinion is to get top Fiat dealer (who can read ALL error codes) get it sorted and then have fun:)

Cheers for that,
Out of curiosity should it cost much just to have the code read/faults reset?
Im up for fixing it myself but will need someone to reset the fault first to see if it goes away or reappears.
Cheers,
Marty.

Cheers,
A mate has one of them (OBD2 or something?)...for some reason i thought this wouldnt read/reset this particular code.9read that somewhere..again prob here!)
Cheers,
Marty.
