2013 fiat 500 pop Dualogic constantly shifting to nuetral from 5th when rapid acceleration should kick down to 2 or 3 also occurs when rapid stop from 5th.
Problem was solved by cleaning the electrical contacts on the plug on the solenoid (Eltek part 0018147)) mounted horizontally about arms length underneath the battery. Had to remover the battery holder for access. Removed the square plug from the solenoid socket and sprayed with WD 40.
Dualogic will now kick down to 2nd or 3rd from 5th when hitting the accelerator.

Mine also does this so I will try that today!

I still want the whole hydrolic system's oil flushed and refilled too but until I get a garage visit booked in I will give this a go.

Done. Hopefully that is the correct plug! Will test later today.

Thanks for the info. My Dualogic Fiat Idea is 19 years old and very rarely it goes to neutral if I slow down too quickly! Or, on rare very damp days it would sometime pop into neutral. I will do this next time I am under the bonnet.
