Hello,
I'm considering buying a 500 1.2 Dualogic, as they are in a very favourable tax bracket here in The Netherlands (purchase price is lower than the manual, and road tax is 75% lower as well). If I would buy one, I'd intend to drive it for at least 5-6 years.
All in all, I would probably prefer the manual for driving enjoyment, but as I won't do very many miles I'm really very much attracted to the lower price of the Dualogic. It seems to drive quite well, too.
The only thing that worries me is the reliability of the Dualogic gearbox. I know Fiat haven't always been known for their rock-solid quality, and it seems to me that there is a lot to go wrong in a robotically actuated gearbox and clutch. I know the system has been in use on Pandas for 5-odd years now, so does anyone have any input as to how reliable it generally is compared to the manual? Thanks!
(great forum, by the way
