Technical Dual Logic Gear Box

Hi all I have 2006 model Grande Punto with a 1400cc engine and Dual Logic Gear box. As of late on some days when I start the car and reverse out, the gear goes back to N when am half way out and an error saying incorrect gear appears with the loud chime. After I put the gear back to N and change to R works fine there on wards.

This problem happens only on some days is there something I need to do to sort this out?

I reckon that is just a cold weather issue - everything seems to be going wrong.

Even manual gear sticks are getting stuck.

just some precaution, in my case if this happen quite often, meaning the actuator/motor need to check repaired. repaired mine twice, once the motor bush, the other time the diode (which quite expensive). i've stalled my grande because of these two, stranded with no gear at all. luckily only happen at home.

Actually the error message I get is gear unavailable and the damn bell goes on for at least 1min, this happens even when you make a swift gear change and sometimes puts you in a tight spot if it happens in the middle of the road or while trying to do a quick reverse and then forward. I was told the solenoid can be cleaned or something but dont know to what extent this will work
