Technical Drop links replacement - brand to use?

Hey guys got a GP tjet 2009 sporting

And I need to replace the drop links. Can anyone recommend a good quality brand to match OEM as I am assuming fiat are going to charge the world for 2 of these?

I did see this. But I'm more trying to see if people would recommend something specific. As OEM is not always best but sometimes is. I've heard of moog and Bilstein etc. So if anyone has changed theirs.let.me know what u went with and how u felt they delivered.

I put these on a few weeks ago, I've had several sets in the last 6 years and these seem very robust, all metal too, I have had some with plastic inserts on the rear of the joint, I've paid lots and they have not proportionally lasted longer than cheaper ones

Ask if they have flats at the bottom of the threaded shafts,opposed to Allen socket holes in the top of threaded bar,as it makes it easier to tighten and remove with a spanner next time.

Very good point, these have Allen key holes, but copper slip and a cover on each one ensures you can happily take them off later, I'm sure you can come up with a suitable cover but the rubber caps off audio rca leads fit perfectly, I used a spanner ground down to fit the flats which worked well even from full tightness

You are correct, but the basic platform and many components are grande punto and corsa compatible, mine is the 1.6 diesel so I always look across the spectrum of identical parts as if I go by my registration very few parts come up, and are therefore expensive, personally I think a bit like the one and only radio code thread a comparable parts thread would be good.

Any corsa D drop links will fit except VXR, the threaded studs are of a larger diameter in the vxr items.

Agree with above post, buy cheap ones and replace at annual service when you check brakes etc!

Yeah that a good point. May buy cheap ones and if they last 2 -3 years u can't complain

Firstline, comline, febi, check your local motor factor too and be armed with the reg for a non vxr corsa D when you call as well as the reg of your own car.
