Hi all :)
Firstly i drive a Grande Punto 1.9, bought in Oct 09 with 13,500 on the clock. My service was due last Oct (or 21-22,000 miles) but i had passed my MOT same month, and no probs with the car so figured i'd wait till i got closer to the 21-22,000 mark (i'm on 19,100).

Now due to the crappy potholes all over the show, i've recently been hearing a knocking on the front drivers side when going over bumps. So this is where i'm a bit stuck :/ I phoned BS Marsons in Newcastle (stoke on trent), described my problem and he said it could be the drop links and was quoted £150-200 to fix it. (Is that a normal main dealer price?)

My question is, should i just get a service now and get my problem sorted at the same time? Or phone around some local garages and see if they can fix it (hopefully cost a bit less) ? Also where to go for a service? I'm not under warranty, and i hear main dealers are more expensive. Can i take it to a local Lodge Tyre or something?

I'm not a mechanic and though i see that drop links are about £15, i'd rather not go down the DIY route. Any tips or advice regards servicing and such would be most appreciated :worship:
thanks
