Grande Punto Drivers side window only open when you open the door

Hi there,

I have a 2006 punto grande and the drivers side window won't open when the door is shut but if you open the door to a 45 degree or more angle it works perfectly any ideas please.

Sounds very much like a broken wire or loose connection.

Where loom goes from body to door would be a good starting point.

Hi. Yes sounds like the wiring is damaged..almost certainly at the door to body pivot area.

Seems to be a common fault on this model as others have said peel back the rubber that connects the door to body and do it on both doors if one side had a broken wire the other side won't be far behind either and may need some attention.
