Technical Drivers door stopped opening? please help!

Hi all, for some reason i can't open the drivers door, both the internal and external pull handles will simply not open the door? The rod mechanism seems to move as they should but the latch isn't clicking to open the door? i have tried pulling various parts of the handle within the door carcass but still no luck? Any ideas much appreciated, thanks

Does the key in the outside door lock feel like it is doing anything?
What can happen is when it is in locked position the rod from the barrel becomes detached, so when you work the normal rod from the outside handle or from the inside handle it will not do anything.
Get a torch and mirror or camera and have a good look up inside against the door catch mechanism.
It may help you to look at a new lock to see how it activates.
