hi guys is my dpf just under the turbo on my fiat florino 13 mutijet 2009 or is it more under the engine. i have large cyclinder bolted to the turbo , could be a precat not sure . i have done a few thoushand miles in it and its not done a regen to my knowlege .
in my sevice book it makes no mention of a dpf but on the fiat scudo 1.3 part it mentions the dpf.

thanks Ray

Is it a car, or van?

I bought my Qubo new in Feb 2011. It was one of the last Euro IV diesels and does not have a dpf (y). As far as I'm aware, new imports from March 2011 were Euro V compliant and were fitted with (the dreaded) dpf.

I think the Qubo VED remained at £30 until "Stop/Start" came in to reduce emissions further, when it dropped to £20.

Incidentally, first year Qubo VED is £0 as it's classed as a diesel car :D.

I'm pretty sure that's your DPF.
You wont know it's doing a regen unless you are watching your instant MPG whilst driving: It will suddenly read a rather low mpg for about ten minutes each time it regenerates. No lights come on and you don't really feel or hear anything. When the cycle is finished the mpg goes back to normal.
I hope that answers your question :)

more info . on it says GM FPT tecnologies:confused:

GM- General Motors
FPT- Fiat PowerTrain

The 1.3 is a joint venture by Fiat and General Motors/Vauxhall. Since around '05 Fiat have begun badging engines and components with the FPT logo.

Simplest way to determine if you have a DPF is to switch on the ignition and see what dash lamps illuminate, specifically to see if the amber DPF warning lamp comes on and goes out.

The DPF itself will also have a metal pipe in the side which leads to a rubber hose which connects to a pressure sensor. Don't confuse this with a pre-cat which will likely have a lambda sensor and possibly EGT probe also.

i went onto euro car parts and put in my reg for an exhaust system and it lists the item in descussion as a CAT no mention of a dpf at all , and it also shows you the pick.
the way of finding out if you have a dpf is to" turn on the ignition and see if the light illuminates "
that must of been to obivious for me (y)

thanks

easy way to tell bud turn your ignition on and if you have a yellow warning light on the right side that looks kinda like a side ways shower you have a dpf its dose have a section on the filter in my handbook so maybe you don't have one

My quborino has that side way shower but it's on the left under the speedo and that's a van £220 road tax! Next to the green cruse control light
