What is it that you are after? snow foam, just shampoo or a wash and wax or wheel cleaner?

I would suggest you make a post in the car care section more member of FF will see it and you will get more feedback.

I personally like the following sites and read them a fair bit good for reviews and recommendations:

http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk

Kind Regards
Stephen

Before I got heavily snowed under with all the different brands of products I used to use (and still do) use autoglym's shampoo and conditioner that works brilliantly on heavily soiled paint work or just for a quick clean.
It's cheap enough but it's more worthwhile to buy as 5L can be used with the bucket method :)
Then all you need is a sealant wax and your good until you want to get properly into car detailing ;)

Cheers Reuuk ! ;)

Anyone have any guides about how to fit a cone filter ?

I need help with installing it and the induction etc !

No problem mate, is a 1.4/1.2?
Depending on your induction kit?

If you have a full induction kit take your air box off with a 10mm socket or spanner and you will see the throttle body at top of engine, attach your induction there and the cone filter at the end of the induction tubing

I know this is super cheaky Reuuk but any chance you could get me a price for the hosing ? Is it something I could fit myself ?? I have a 1.2 !

Is it just a cone filter you have then? Don't fit it as it will just drink the hot air from your engine bay, get old of some hosing first :)

I can do if you can get me the diameter of your throttle body :)
SJB1985 could advise on inductions for the 1.2, can you get a pic of yours stephen?

Sorry for all the questions just dont know that much about cars but I know how to remove the air filter so I would be able to fit this I think and just set the cpne filter to be near the front grille ?

@Reuuk @WillGP

Going to have to wait for pics at the weekend or if you felt up to it @WillGP remove the airbox and measure yours mate. In terms of the link to an induction kit are you just wanting something that will make more noise if so get a K&N 57i LMAO I really cant comment on any others and seeing as though mine is not the sort of thing you can buy of the shelf as it was modified to fit my little 1.2 and is meant for a different car altogether. Have you thought about just putting a Panel filter in?

Mine is an ITG Maxogen enclosed Induction Kit and cost me a fair bit!

P.S. Had a thought! I hear that GSR's are becoming available again I knew a few on here who have ordered them why don't you wait and find out what they are like then if all is well and they get them (lol) get one of them!

That my friend is a cone filter that sits directly on top of your engine and a cold air feed. (Avoid this set up :) )

Don't worrie mate it's really easy, the breather is 2x 10mm bolts to get off.

Re: WillGP's Grey Grande - "Douglas"

Did you make yours feom scratch ? If so how ?

Not as such had all the parts that came in the box from ITG but because it was meant for a different car and different variant I passed it to my mate and he successfully adapted it for me was a costly risk but one which I wouldn't recommend as it could go wrong and wouldn't want anyone blaming me for them being out of pocket and saying well @SJB1985 said it would work and be fine and it doesn't!.

I take it you want to hear a better noise than you are getting now? if so then possibly go down the K&N route. I really don't want to recommend anything mate as I don't wish to be a hypocrite either but I don't like K&N but each to their own mate. Normally in life you get what you pay for and like my dad keeps telling me a poor man pays twice LOL meaning and I think here ... don't just make do save up and buy what you want and what is going to be the best for you. don't buy one now because that's what you can afford right now save the money and see what you can afford next month! I can only go on my experiences and what I have used in the past :)

A quick scout on ebay found this:

The choice is always yours mate.

Regards
Stephen

P.S. I am sure others could give their own recommendations?

SJB1985 so would that fit my car and just be a case of removing the air filter and then attach the new induction kit to the space created by removing the air filter ?

Re: WillGP's Grey Grande - "Douglas"

@WillGP - No that was just an example of how cheap you can get them that's for a 1.9 from the sellers comments.

The K&N part number for the 1.2 is [57-0655]
