Hi All

Will upload more pictures etc soon :)

Mods that I have done so far

  1. Modified badges (Black and Silver)
  2. Sprayed front Grille (Black from Silver)
  3. New Interior LED Light (Super Bright)
  4. New back box gives a more grunty noise but not too Loud
Hope you all enjoy it and give me some ideas of MODS to do next !
Re: WillGP's Grey Dub Edition GP

Don't forget the brakes will obviously heat up too if you drive the car. Best to leave it for as long as you possibly can. 5 hours should be fine but I would rather leave it for something like 12, just my 2 cents ?

Thanks for the advice James ! I will only be ablw to do one at a time as I dont have a proper jack for cars :(

You'll need a few coats. As many coats as you think is required

EDIT: if your unsure then practice is always key. I'm not sure what would be best to practice on. I'm sure someone on here may have some better advice lol

And yes without a doubt cover your brakes. Newspaper covering the essentials should be fine

Well just take your time and be careful mate don't not sit with your legs under the car whilst it is jacked up and you are painting mate. :)

You sound like a man talking from experience about the sitting under the car thing lol !

Im going to have to do them one at once probably one saturday and one on sunday ! And use the gf's car !

Yes mate, a friend of mine was doing this and I had a go at him about it he got up from under the car and 2 mins later the jack moved. I honestly think he stood and sh!t himself when it did as he didn't belief me!

Fine :) ill save it as a weekend job then ;) I reckon they would set the car off nicely, so yiu just wire brush the calipre then spray it ! ?

Just one coat or a few ? And im guessing I have to masking tape my discs up !

Red'd definitely be the right way to go :D

I used ceramic high temp paint with a brush for mine, just means you can get into all the nooks well without having to mask the arch. We did three coats on each, and even with the brush it was a nice flat finish

Just made a good go over with a wire brush, and to make sure the paint didn't react, brake degreaser then a good wipe down.

And we used both the standard boot jack and a trolley jack :D better safe than sorry I suppose

They look fantastic when they're finished though

I have already orsered the spray version ! Ill just have to masking tape really well ;)

Wheel arch and break discs !

Re: WillGP's Grey Dub Edition GP

Could just take them off and spray or paint them , a hell of a lot easier

Yeh you could if the op was confident enough about taking the calipers apart and the drums. It is far easier just to use a brush and not have to do anything other than just take the wheels off and crack on with it :D
