Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could help.

The doors open warning keeps bleeping even though none of the doors are open.

What happened was, my hubby and dad were carrrying some thing in the boot, and my dad tied it down to the boot catch thing and since then the warning keeps appearing all the time. Its been doing it for about 8 months (two weeks after we bought the car - i could have murdered my dad LOL), but now I am started to drive it, its really annoying me.

I would like to be able to fix it, as it does not seem to bother my partner but its driving me mad. :bang:

Is it an easy job, or will it have to go to the garage.

I appreciate any help on this matter

Dawn, the switch is probably part of the lock mechanism which is a replace only job.
You can get round this by taking the wires off the lock and either joining them or separating them. I can't remember whether the warning is triggered by opening or closing the circuit.
You can always use Ebay to find a used lock for a proper job.

Sounds like the boot switch for sure. The actual switch is visible on the multipla boot edge once the boot's open and the actuator plastic is on the boot door itself I think. Just push the switch in with your finger and the boot light should go out, then you know that's working. Then look at the actuator on the door, is it broken and not pushing the door switch?
Good luck x
