Technical Doors locked

I can't open my Ducato van.
The key fob will not disable the central locking...I have changed the battery in the fob.
The key spins round and round in the lock on both the back and drivers doors.
How can I open the van?

Breakdown people can usually find a way to unlock vehicles without breaking anything. Need to have such skills to rescue overheated kids etc left in vehicles.

Have you ever used to locks before? Im guessing not you could try and give them a spray with some light oil and keep working the key back and forth

No, I haven't used the key before as the central locking normally opens with the fob button.
The key goes into the lock but just turns round, there is no resistance either clockwise or anticlockwise. I don't think oil will help.
If the battery is flat in the vehicle, does it disable the manual lock in the door? Why can't I open the door with the key?

Sounds like the key operated door locks have been disabled.
