Technical Door Mirror

Hello.

Some has very kindly snapped my 03 Punto's driver side door mirror. I have ordered a new one online but have absolutely no idea how to fit it.

I think I need to remove the remains of the old one as there is a slight black trim where the old one was, the rest of the mirror has now snapped off!

Can anyone please offer any advice on the best way to remove the old part & fit a new one?

you work from inside and prise off the plastic trim froun around the adjuster handle thing. the rubber bit pulls off from that., then underneath its either 3 small bolts or one large ring nut that goes round the bit with adjuster handle on. remove that and withdraw the rest of wing mirror from outyside.

hardest i found was prising of the internal plastic thiung with out breaking it

do you need a special tool to loosten the large nut, cant seem to get an tools into the gap
