hi guys

when i try and lock the door from the outside drivers side it doesnt do anything it only moves a little tiny bit if i goto passanger side it locks then unlocks as if the doors still open

if i go through the back door open the drivers door from inside the car and close again then push the lock down inside itll lock ?

yes it should be locked but just try open it and then you'll know for sure. You got central locking? If not then its almost definitely gonna be the lock barrel in which case easiest thing to do would be swap the barrel from the passenger door as you rarely use key in it. If you got central locking there's probably a few other things it could be.

thanks for reply

think its a mix of the cold weather aswell as not being lubricated enough - sprayed some wd40 on my key and into the lock in out a few times and now locks almost every time - only time i've seen it not to do it is late at night or early morning - cold!

sounds like its got bit of water in it then.. wd will only work temporarily as it will wash away the lubricant in the lock and then it starts attracting dirt and going sticky.. It will however displace water (WD=water displacer, random little fact alot people don't seem to know). Get some graphite lock lube applied to it in the near future ;)
