hi guys, locking drivers side door, whole barrel came out as i pulled the key out,
then heard metal bits drop into the door bottom , will have to get the bits out,oh dear! have some complete locks, "we can rebuild him,we have the technology" (y)

I had my door lock in bits this morning. i was half way through replacing the inner drive shaft boot, went to unlock the car to turn the steering and the key wouldnt come out. i had to remove the lock and dismantle the barrel to remove the key. should be able to advise you if you get all the bits but maybe beyond repair

yeah if you guys locks are getting to that stage in life, i really recommend a complete lock set.

for what it takes to change them.. and the feel afterwards..

if you get the lock set from http://www.ricambio.co.uk/ you get 4 sets of keys!

theres nothing like the feel of brand new locks...

i only really go on the ignition barrel though. central locking is awesome.

I have had a couple of barrels go. My trick is to get a replacement lock barrel from any old Panda, stick my key in and file the lock pins smooth. Ok so the lock's not as secure, but it works and I get to keep the same key, and how many people try to pick a lock or test other keys?! Anyway a Panda is hardly difficult to break in to by other means!
