Technical Door bump strips

The bump strips are held on with plastic clips which in turn clip into holes in the panels. So yes, they do leave holes.

Why do you want to take them off anyway?

Cheers for that(y)
Im thinking of removing them because i dont like the look of them:)

They're maybe not the nicest bump strips I've seen, but because the Multi is so wide, they certainly help keep the car less scratched in car parks.

They're made of plastic.

The things I hate are the stupid plastic 'nibs' at the door handles. Every time I have to squeeze down the side of the car in the garage or when it's parked a bit tightly they're guaranteed to hook me pocket/sleeve or whatever I'm carrying....

Guaranteed to make me swear.

hehee! Ive no idea what these naughty 'nibs' are, but sounds like i will find out!

New shape Eleganza has colour coded bump strips, so they must spray well with the right paints.
Not sure if original shape Eleganza was colour coded too ...

Of course, if you're still after a black Multi then they're all colour coded :D (until they fade).

Ive cahnged my mind, think i prefer silver atm:cool:

I take my earlier comment back...well slightly....

They are made of plastic, but on my 54-plate, the plastic is colour-coded to the metallic black paint I have.

I noticed after a few supermarket visits that other drivers have kindly taken chunks out of my bumpstrips.

It's hard to find parts in metallic black!!! I think I'll have to find a spare one, prep it and paint it up. :(

That's one of the problems with colour coded plastic bits. Where they're exposed, like the bumpers and bump strips they do tend to get chipped.

Maybe better left unpainted black, but colour coded does look nice....
