AVOID AT ALL COST!
I live in the pub next door and purchased an R reg cinq from him with 80K on the clock and paid £350 he told me it had dents and dings but was a greta car. being a neighbour i took his word and paid (maybe ovet the odds im not sure? ) within 2 months here are a list of the problems i have found/encuntered:
Fuel Tank was rusted through (I got blamed - not sure how 2 months of driving can rust through a tank)
N/S F + R shocks/springs gone
O/S R shocks gone
O/S R spring snapped
GLASS SHARDS under the read seats EVEN THO car has never been broken into whilst in ownership.
Dodgy Alternator
Clutch cable snapped ( Can happen any time)
half switches and buttons do not work
Rear wiped motor is defective.
I asked him what he ws going to do about this and his response was sold as seen! If i had died through the defects im sure the courts would have taken a dim view.! THEIR VEHICLES ARE DANGEROUS! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BUY FROM THERE.
I am 19 and have never kerbed or abused the car in terms of bumps and obstructions so i cannt be held for suspension errors. the wiper motor never worked. the aerial (despite being small) was never replaced even tho he said he would do it onc ei bought the car.
I have not got millions of pounds on my money tree and have lost out i assume. i want to save people in my situation from the same scenario
