Only thing I would watch with the Schumacher Sei is the Insurance.
Standard Sei Sporting is a Group 3
Sei Sporting Schumacher Edition is a Group 4 and as they were limited editions then I don't think you'll get one for £1000, but a standard Sei Sporting you can pick up off ebay for a few £100.

I kno w guy wiv the shuemacher edition and he offered me his 4 a grand tbh he's got enough cars and money to sell it 4 a grand but I don't kno if he's seriously gonna sell it 4 a grand or if hel even sell it he's at college wiv me and calls it his student car u c

Well when you kno what your wanting for it let me kno just to warn you I have a low income so can only afford to put away about a hundred a month so it will take me ages to save up good to kno that I shouldn't have to do major repairs like I did with the car I just sold to darkwave109

a bit of a strong line that, "Rebuilt from ground up" .

All bushes done? All brake pipes done? All shocks changed ?All brake pipes changed ? calipers refurbished? Fully undersealed again? Engine/gearbox totally rebuilt with all seals changed?

Just some of the things i would consider when a car has been rebuilt .

But i would always recommend buying a car from a fellow members car where the work done has been documented and the work has been done by the owner themselves! that way you know there is no short cut taken to just sell the car on!

You make a good point about buying a known motor from a known member of a forum. It's exactly what I've done and the list of stuff repaired on the vec before I bought it was impressive!

yup, its a huge list on the sei, and i can also confirm it's condition is good.

engine/gerarbox seals have been done
had some brake pipes replaced
a new strut on one side of the car passenger
caliper on the front passenger
all rear handbrake drums shoes levers and locking pins removed refurbished and put back in
car HAS been undersealed again
head gasket replaced
timing belt replaced new sparkplugs
new lambda sensor
new cat convertor
new manifold gaskets
new oil
new HT leads
new thermostat
new heater matrix
new radiator fan
new radiator switch
new steering column and power steering module
new tyres
thats what i can remember at the moment dont know what else i said to martin but its too early to think at the moment
and the body work is in great condition for 10 years old
