Desperation drove me here,
I have renewed the suspension on my 2013 Ducato mid roof MWB 130 multijet, converted into a basic campervan. A small kitchen with fridge runs behind the seats with a double bed with 4 drawers beneath for storage at the rear of the van, so the weight is well below the 2T carry capabilities.
I had an extra leaf put in the rear and a reset as it was sat on the bumpstop, also had Kings KKFR-37SP springs and Optimal A-3006G shock absorbers on the front.
Problem is it seems REALLY hard up front and bangs when coming OFF bumps at normal travel speed, (going onto a bump seems fine). I've had numerous qualified people inspect it with various opinions but no definite ideas as to the cause. The original installer re inspected the obvious bushes etc. but said they were ok.
Driving the van is a nervy experience on a less than perfect road, and I hate to think of the wear I'm putting on other parts of it.
Could the springs be too heavy duty or the shocks too short/long ?
Any help is appreciated.

Any chance the springs are too stiff for the load they are carrying, if so try the original standard front springs back on again if you still have them.
Other than going on a weighbridge to see how the axle weights compare with the original specifications.
My general experience of camper conversions is as they usually end up carrying a permanent load as opposed to a work van loaded and unloaded so generally give the rear suspension a much harder time.

I reckon the springs are too stiff as they’re for a motor home but 3 outlets here in Aus say they’re the ones, I can’t seem to find any for a normal van

Certainly points that way.
No chance of importing any, or is there a specialist spring supplier who can help near you. Failing that some from a car scrapyard?
