Technical Does My Car Have Blue & Me?

Hi guys,

Once again looking for some help.

Ive just bought a GP. When I asked about it the dealer didnt know if the car had Blue & Me or not. Its a 1.3 Dynamic 75, 57 plate.

Is there anyway I can find out before I pick it up?

Its not a massive problem if it doesnt have it but it would be nice if it did

I might be wrong but I think if you have the windows symbol on your steering wheel buttons thats for blue and me?

It will have blue and me if there are two USB plugs in the glovebox and have the windows symbol on one of the steering wheel buttons

I thought i would bump an older thread rather than starting a new one and its near enough the same subject. Basicly i cant find the answer to what the two usb ports are used for is one iv narrowed it down to one being diagonistics and other to be used as mp3.

My steering wheel button (the windows one) doesnt seem to work have disconected the battery before but still is refusing to work but i have had it working a couple of times before with mp3s on my usb stick.

I am trying to connect my ipod but cant get it to play only seems to charge the device . but only in one of the usb slots (left one) .
on the right hand usb slot i get the do not disconnect message on my ipod

i have attached some photos to help explain

anyone know what could be the cause

The left hand one is for the blue and me, not to sure what the other one is for, but I get this feeling it might be the old type one where you update it. What plate is your car? and btw have you tried using another cable because it could be the problem even if its new.

Its an 07 1.9 mjet
I have got other cables which i am trying ( official ipod leads )

i thought the right hand one was for blue and me becuase there is the blue and me icon on the box (will double check though)

It may need updating, Ive never tried updating mine before though. The right hand usb is the blue and me convergence unit, so updating it must be using that.

yeah the one on the right has the windows logo on sorry not blue and me will try doing an update on it in a bit . will it automaticly recognise a usb with the update on and what can i do about the windows button will that hopefully sort out after the update? or could it be a lose wire.
