Specifically, are there separate fuses for each side?

When I scan the error codes, the right side works fine but the left side fails.

I'd like to be sure theres no specific fuse dedicated to the individual sides.....

Probably not as far as I can tell.

What error code(s) are you getting?

The blind spot system seems to be associated with the BOSE radio head unit.
I’m just learning AlfaOBD. The pid for the left side is fine but the right side shows C1008 error.
Says it’s not talking to the ecu.

Here’s a little more background. When I bought the car used, only the left side was working. No error on the right side but it just wasn’t showing up. I assumed the unit was broken as the car had previously sustained an impact on that corner so I bought a used unit. I plugged that in and got the full system error so I put the old unit back. Still the same. However, I did notice that the original unit appeared to have been installed the wrong way around.
Currently I have the old unit installed in what I believe to be the correct orientation - with the white side facing outwards - but I’m still getting this error code.
I bought a tablet, OBDlink MX+, adapters and Alfa OBD in an effort to get this working so I have a decent amount now invested and I’m no further forward.
I think I’m at a point where I have to remove the rear bumper and check the wiring….. unless anyone has an idea as to what I should do next?

C1008

That is odd because for my 500X 1.4 MutliAir C1008 is sub coded and C1008-54 is:

334 - 500X 1.4 Turbo MultiAir Absolute steering position sensor
NOT calibrated - Missing calibration C1008-54

I wonder if there is a relationship between the blind spot sensor and the steering angle.

I don't have Alfa OBD so can't see if it has a steering angle learning function.

Yeah - when I looked it up online it said the same but if I click on the code in AlfaOBD it gives me the diagnostic output data broken down into what exactly caused the error, which is really why I stumped up the money for it. I love that it does a deeper dive into the flagged errors - I just gotta learn the software a bit better now. I was hoping that I could isolate and turn off certain PID's (better that half the system works than none at all) but I guess I have to get a little better at it before I can start doing that....
