ok, looking on the web, i found this pic

Thats what i want it to look like- any ideas???

hi, i am informed that it is possible to change the colours on the mk2. My friend is lookin into it for me at the moment, he claims it is leds which need changing but i am not totally sure - ill let you know if he finds out for me - he had his done on his corsa last week and it is well smart (Y)

apparently its not as simple as the mk1- i just had to swap the bulbs. I believe for ythe 2/2b you have to un-solder the led's and solder new ones in.. the switch panel for the leccy windows etc is a doddle as its the same as what i did for my mk1

what sorta bulbs would i need to change the centre consol on an mk2 simon, been considering gettin it changed for ages but never had the knowlege....

i cant remember what size i used on my mk1, cos i had them lying about. Im pretty sure doing it to the mk2's exactly the same process tho, however on saying that i bodged mine on before.

it will just be a case of taking the console out and having a look.
As for the dials, im really nervous about unsoldering the leds etc, as its a new car and dont wanna cock it up. I'm gonna take the dash apart tonight maybe and have a proper look.

looked smart as **** though. Iv got a thing about blue lights lol

Yeah i saw it on a couple of cars and it looks wicked, I like everything to be matching like to match my stereo etc

ok, i had a look aerlier on and it looks like its a c**t of a job to do.
Its really hard to get the actual speedo apart, so much so i couldnt manage it so i gave up and put it back in the car.
Just to confirm, its NOT Twist lock bulbs like a mk1.... the ones i just bought that dont fit

If anyone has got a steady hand and is handy with a soldering iron, give me a shout, lol, cos im not gonna even attempt it myself

On the mk1 are there no colour filters in the dials? is it just the bulbs that are coloured?

no, the bulbs are white and it has green filters. If you want to get it looking like what mine did, you need to get lockwoods whth WHITE numbers, so they shine thru blue. Any other colour numbers wont shine as well, but it all depends what colour of bulbs you go for.
My dials were blue with white numbers
