I havea problem with my central locking, i havent long had my car. its a bravo HLX (98) I can unlock and lock with the key. but when i press the remote it does nothing. but the little red lighth works ??

any ideas ?

Sounds like your 'Key' needs programming into the ECU of the car.... (I assume the Red light is on the Key...)

If you have a manual look it up in 'programming the remote' and follow the instructions on that page...

If you have no Manual then let me know and I'll check the exact procedure but its something like....

Press and HOLD a Biro Nib into the Hole in the Sun Roof / Light fixture. (On the Drivers side towards the centre of the car)
The little LED in the fixture flashes... (Its on the 'passenger side of the Fixture...)

Press your KEY button...

and hopefully the LED in the Roof flashes and your Key works... (It is now recognised by the Car)

Failing this it may be the Battery of your Key is too weak and needs replacing.
