Hi, Does anyone know of a company that will put a camping type "pop-up-top" in a doblo? Also can you suggest the cheapest company to buy a new dynamic 120 from?
Thanks in advance. Philip.

Re: Does anyone know?

20 grand:eek:

Bloody hell. I paid 8 grand for my dobbie & for the £12k saved you could buy a decent trailer tent & still have a decent wedge in your wallet.

In fact, I was looking at them this morning, £2.2k for a 2 berth & £2.4k for a 4 berth. The 4 berth had a huge area at the front where you could do your cooking & washing, it also had 2 areas for sleeping/storage underneath the main bed areas.

To be honest, the conversion involves carrying a load of additional weight around all the time - so increasing fuel consumption, it also means you are extremely limited as to usage.
With a standard dobbin you have 5 seats plus large boot area or 2 seats plus humongous boot area. The conversion looks very cramped in the rear for passegers.

Thanks for the effort lads! I only want a pop-up-top, not a full conversion, I will telephone Danbury for a price. Sorry another question, do the Doblo seats run on a track that allows you to remove them? I would like to design a slide in kitchen unit that I only use when I go camping and stores in the garage in the week. regards, newdog22.

No they don't. They're in a fixed position and not removable, except the rear seats on the 7 seater and they are fixed together and can only be removed as a pair, and they don't slide either.

Re: Does anyone know?

Thanks for all your help! I've managed to get a deal on a brand new dynamic 120 in silver with the dark side window tints. (Extra £70) Should be here in 6/8 weeks. Less than £10,000! on the road. I'll let you know when I start the roof conversion etc., thanks again. newdog22.

Re: Does anyone know?

Bad news, I telephoned Danbury as directed by you chaps and was told that they wouldn't fit just the roof, only a full conversion. When I asked if they knew of a company that would fit a roof, he said, "We are the only ones in the World that do it", pretty arrogant hey!!! I like a challenge. So back to the keyboard to look for a doblo pop-up roof, your help would be appreciated. Philip. p.s. Anyone for a business opportunity?

Re: Does anyone know?

I wonder just how prudent it would be to retro fit a pop-up roof to the dobbin?

If Danbury won't help, perhaps you could look at companies who supply pop up roofs to other makes - the VW springs to mind although I imagine you'll get a similar response from them.
