Hi,

Does anyone have a standard Fiat Bravo 16 inch wheel that they want to sell?

I can't post a URL to show you the exact wheel I'm looking for, but if you put "71751386" into eBay or Google images it will pop up.

Or does anyone know where I can buy one? I hit a pot hole today and the alloy has bent. Can this sort of thing be repaired?

Thanks

Thanks for the quick replies. I have just sent out a few emails to people that are breaking Bravos on ebay - good tip.

My alloy basically looks like this image on the left (image from Google). Do you think this is repairable?

That wheel doesn't need refurbishment, only a little piston pushing to bend back in shape. It takes literally 5 minutes to fix and no painting required.

It can even be repaired simply by hammering it and then balancing, a bit like PDR but with some brute force.

i wouldn't want to use an alloy that had been hammered back into shape would you?

what about stress and cracking?

surely it needs carefully reprofiling and then heat treating/annealing (y)

even if it requires heating to bring it back into shape which I don't think this kind of small dent would, it still wouldn't require repainting.

I'm talking from experience, I've been running reshaped wheels for a long time on another car without any problem.

It's only no brand bad quality rims made in china or turkey that crack for so little damage.

Hi all,

I thought I would just let you all know what route I went down. I contacted someone on ebay who was breaking a fiat bravo and he sold me one alloy wheel with a half decent tyre for £50 including delivery.

Most of the repair companies I contacted wanted more than £50 just to repair it.

Thanks for all of your help.
