redex, wynns and the like?

Might chuck some in next time I put some diesel in, I normally use V-Power diesel anyway like, after 43k it cant do it any harm?

I used redex in my astra 1.6 petrol and tbh can't say it made much of a difference but may help to stop injectors etc from getting coked up with sooty deposits on the m-jet

you obviously haven't read up about additives that have been posted up before. i suggest you hit the search button & find out what a waste of time & money they are.there is a site called snakeoil telling you all the facts about these additives...simply put a fool & his money are easily parted;)

Is your location Highlands or Highhorse?

Be carefull is all i'll say, i've known some older petrol engines explode believe it or not, through over heating i believe.

i started a thread about this about 3 months ago. its a waste of time.

5th gear did a test some years ago and actualy found you could LOSE power

also if you search about octane ratings etc inproving the octane rating of your fuel will only affect higher performance engines. wikipedia has some stuff about it and if you search for performance additives 5th gear on youtube you can see what i mean.

(sorry for no links im off to work in 5 mins)

If you are using premium diesel, I cannot see any point spending your money on something that cleans injectors etc.

Premium diesel is supposed to do the same thing. Car magazine ran tests using premium fuels a while ago, and although performance was not increased, they found out that the use of premium fuels kept the engine clean. If I were you, I would not bother with any additives.

just a vpower and you are fine.total waste of time and money.use the price of that additives to add petrol.:)

its the injector cleaner im on about, Fuel econemy seems to be on the floor lately im getting 38 MPG from my M-Jet on a motorway run where I used to get 50+ im on 43k now though so I reckon its the EGR,

Thanks for the advice

in my 1.3 diesel i use a bit of kerosine every 5000miles, keeps clean the engine, :) also can be used on petrol engines as i used it on my escort also
