Car passed it's first MOT yesterday, so I've got my MOT Certificate, next month my Tax is due, so then I need the Renewal Form which is sent in the post...

But what I want to know is, do I need my Vehicle Registration Document to get Tax?

I can't find mine anywhere, so I need to know if I need to get a new one in the next 3 weeks?

Re: mot paperwork

As far as i know all you need to tax your car in a valid insurance certificate, the renewal notification and a valid mot certificate.
Hope this helps

Re: mot paperwork

If you are the registered owner and have told the DVLA they will send you a tax reminder in the post. You take this reminder, your insurance document (or cover note) and your MOT certificate.
You can pay either by cheque or Visa/Delta over the counter. They give you all the documents back these days including the reminder. Its worth doing this as soon as the reminder comes through as its easy to forget and there aint no leeway now.
